This program is aimed at helping students that are excellent in character and learning but are born in a poor family in economically underdeveloped regions during the stage of compulsory education access fair and quality education. It was launched by XHEF in 2004. Since 2009, MINTH has been sponsoring the “Hope for Pearl” program of XHEF for a consecutive 11 years, during which MINTH has left footprints in 14 provinces, 29 schools, 51 pearl classes and 2,213 pearl students, and has donated more than RMB 15 million in total. 1,225 pearl students aided by MINTH have graduated from senior high school, 97.5% of them have entered colleges and universities, and 76% of them have entered top colleges and universities.

Yi Ethnic Kids Class in Daliang Mountains, Sichuan Province

MINTH launched the “Yi Ethnic Little Girls Class” (which was renamed “Yi Ethnic Kids Class”) project in Butuo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, in 2012. As of today, MINTH has opened 15 Yi Ethnic Kids Classes in 5 primary schools in Butuo County, and has aided 757 Yi ethnic children in completing primary school education.

The project is dedicated to providing basic materials for students’ learning and living, making overall improvement of the learning environment of the schools MINTH cooperates with, offering opportunities for students to broaden their horizons, setting up outstanding teacher reward mechanisms, organizing visits and trainings for teachers, assisting schools in making overall improvement in school management, and promoting balanced development of urban and rural education. In 2018, MINTH launched the “School Assistance” initiative, which located the first project at the Central School of Juesa Township, Butuo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. It was dedicated to making overall improvement of the school’s hardware facilities, improving the teaching approach, and helping Yi ethnic children develop good habits and shape healthy personality.

Pearl Home Character Education Base

This project is dedicated to character education of senior high, college and university students, leaders and class advisers in the “Hope for Pearl” program, and is aimed at helping pearl students develop good character and pass on positive attitude towards life.
Pearl Home Character Education Base was sponsored by MINTH, a philanthropic corporation, and was established in July 2016. It was meant to facilitate the implementation of the “Hope for Pearl” program of XHEF, and to promote character education and overall wellness of the youth.
In 2017, Pearl Home introduced high and low-altitude rope challenge course, course management system, and professional equipment in line with ACCT standards (the Association for Challenge Course Technology). With the help of professional trainers, these courses help challengers know better of themselves and overcome challenges, and also strengthen the bond among team members, develop harmonious interpersonal relationships and build trust.
